The ultimate in personalized holiday greeting cards, photo cards are fun and memorable and can be easily created to share your company's values and charm. Here are 5 suggestions for creating your special, one-of-a-kind seasonal greeting card.

1. Contest. Sponsor a contest to create original art for your holiday card. The contest can be an internal company challenge sponsored by your human resources department. Or, ask a local school or community group you are affiliated with to design a card for your company. Promise to include a printed credit inside the card for the prize winning design to generate enthusiasm for the contest.

2. Teamwork. Take a picture of your office team dressed for the holidays. It may be summer, but your team will have fun wearing Santa hats and getting into the holiday spirit. Or, be more formal and take a nice professional shot of the team. Your customers will enjoy seeing the people they work with on this year's card.

3. Home. A picture of your business home would make a nice holiday card. Hang a wreath if you like or just take a nice picture of your corporate headquarters or local office for a personal greeting that will be familiar to those in the community or of interest to those curious to know what your office home looks like. Include a custom imprinted verse for a heartwarming holiday wish from your home to theirs.

4. Product. Maybe you have an exciting new product to promote. Make it fun and seasonal by placing it in a winter environment, or put a Santa hat on it for a clever product shot that also brings holiday smiles. With good taste and a bit of creativity, such an image can delight those that have helped you get it done along the way.

5. Holiday. With a seasonal photo card there is no limit to the creative process. Engage your staff by brainstorming ideas. A photograph can be as simple as your company logo or a pretty ornament or as elaborate as a snowman built with trucked in snow. Whatever you decide to photograph, make it fun and inventive. Generate holiday spirit early this year!

Photo Christmas cards are the ultimate in personalized greetings. Send business holiday cards this year that project your company's inventiveness and progressive thinking while also thanking clients and business associates for their support during the past year. A clever photo card or attractive Thank You card will be widely distributed and enjoyed and is sure to lead to positive business relationships in the future.

Tips for Better Photo Christmas Cards

During the Christmas season, almost everyone is going to get a Christmas card from someone else. It is always great to send nice Christmas cards to all of your friends and family members. Although, rather than simply sending a generic Christmas card (which recipients may find to be dull), many people decide to make the card extra special by having it be a photo Christmas card. The photos on the front of the card can be of one's family, the family dog, a new baby, or any number of other possibilities.

In order for a photo Christmas card to be aesthetically pleasing, great care should be given to the photo that will be used. Taking a good picture is quintessential for a solid photo Christmas card. Without a good picture, the card will seem cheap, and friends/relatives may think no effort was put into it. That's certainly not the goal of any Christmas card! In order to avoid this catastrophe, be sure that the photo is taken with good lighting. Taking time to plan out the pose can also help tremendously. It seems simple enough, but many people don't use the best cameras for Christmas card photos. A cheap camera will produce a cheap photo. One way to make sure that the photo is high quality is to take several pictures in several different poses. Spend time reviewing all of the photos and choose which one would compliment the card best.

Careful consideration should be put into the selection of the company that you choose to print your photos. A good company will have better service and almost undoubtedly produce better results. Many companies can take orders online; so don't hesitate to search around on the Internet. As a rule, a company with a well-designed, user-friendly web site will probably give more customer satisfaction than other companies. Also take pricing into account. Some companies may offer discount rates depending on the amount of photos needed. Taking a look at all of the possibilities and comparing is a great practice for choosing a provider.

Keeping the provider in mind, be sure to find out how they print the photos. Some companies may use ink-jet or dye sublimation print, which will not look as good as the use of actual photos. Good providers will probably provide potential customers with a plethora of information about how the photos are produced. Finding this information shouldn't be too difficult if the company has a well-designed web site or an informative customer service line. Once again, quality is paramount when making a Christmas card. If the photo Christmas card is high quality, it will surely be displayed on friends' and family's mantels long after Christmas is over.

Taking a great photo for the family photo Christmas card looks like it should be easy.  But as any parent who has attempted this holiday ritual can tell you, it's not as simple as it looks.  What you want is a unique, beautiful photo Christmas card. And what you usually get is fidgety, uncooperative kids that blink just as you're taking the picture.  But don't give up and throw in the Santa hat just yet.  Here are 6 easy, smart solutions to those top challenges.

Challenge 1: You want a festive holiday background for your family photo Christmas cards, but don't want to decorate your house with strands of lights and tinsel in November.

Solution: Use the Mall.  Department stores and shopping malls are decorating for the season earlier and earlier, many times right after Halloween.  These holiday backdrops are perfect for family photo Christmas cards.  Gather the kids in front of the twinkling lights and a few camera clicks later, you'll have a great shot.

Challenge 2: Your toddlers won't sit still long enough to take the photo.

Solution: Bring in the props. Get out the oversized teddy bear or other toy that fascinates them.  Try posing them with the dog or cat.  Give them something simple to do, like ring a Christmas bell or kiss their sister on the cheek.  Use trial and error until you find the item or activity that interests them long enough for you to take a few pictures.

Challenge 3: Your teenage kids don't feel like posing for a family photo.

Solution: Don't make them pose. Instead, make action the focal point of your photo Christmas cards, highlighting things that your teenagers love to do.  Take photos of them showing off their abilities.  Whether they are in the swimming pool, a canoe, sinking a basketball, riding a horse, baking holiday cookies, playing with the dog, or enjoying another activity, your holiday cards will offer a glimpse into your family's interests and personality.

Challenge 4: You'd like to send photo Christmas cards that are witty and fun, just like your family.

Solution: Create your own holiday story picture, by setting up a scene.  Here's some ideas. The kids can discover Mommy kissing Santa Claus (Daddy in disguise).  Put the young kids in a bubble bath with Santa hats and bubble beards. Capture a snapshot of each family member grabbing a slice of pizza with the message "pizza on earth".  Photograph an empty plate of cookies and finished glass of milk in front of "guilty" looking kids with the caption "sorry Santa!"

Those after Halloween costume sales can come in handy when trying to set up a whimsical photo.  How about posing your little angels with angel wings you picked up at discount?  Other possibilities could be your kids dressed as cats (Meowy Christmas), super heroes (have a super Christmas), a baby in a pea-pod costume ("peas on earth") or a lion and a lamb costume for two children.

Challenge 5: You'd like a beautiful photo Christmas card that doesn't look like the same, tired, group family photo you send out every year.

Solution: Change the location of your photo shoot. If you're within driving distance to a beach, there are a lot of unique photo opportunities.  Pose the kids on a sleigh on a sand dune.  Write Merry Christmas on the sand, and have everyone sit behind the inscription.  Build a sand snowman with a straw hat, sunglasses, and seashell nose.

Autumn provides a lot of great possibilities for photo Christmas cards.  Try taking photos of the kids playing in a pile of leaves, in a pumpkin patch or on a hay ride.  Make lovely scenery your backdrop and it can create atmosphere that elevates your photo Christmas card to a new level.

Challenge 6: When you struggle to take a family group photo, someone always blinks their eyes, turns their head or doesn't smile.  It seems nearly impossible to get one perfect shot where everyone looks good.

Solution: Choose a card company that offers photo Christmas card designs that contain multiple photos of your family.  The latest trend in holiday photo cards is to include several of your photos on one card in a unique, holiday layout.  This has become popular because it is much easier to take great, individual photos of your family members than one acceptable group picture.

Whatever particular challenge you face when composing your photo Christmas cards, there is an easy solution.  Try these creative approaches and soon you'll be hearing from your friends, relatives, coworkers and neighbors how much they loved this year's family holiday photo card.

Taking a nice photo for the Christmas card family photo sounds so easy. However as any parent who has attempted this holiday custom can tell you, it's not as simple as it sounds. What you want is an exceptional, nice photo Christmas card. And what you usually get is squirmy, stubborn kids that blink just as you're taking the picture. But don't give up easily and throw in the Santa hat just yet. Here are 6 simple, neat solutions to those top challenges.

Challenge 1: You want a cheerful Christmas background for your family photo Christmas cards, but you don't want to decorate your house with strands of lights and tinsel as early as November.

Solution: Go to the Mall. Department stores and shopping malls are decorating for the holiday earlier, usually right after Halloween. These Christmas backdrops are perfect for family photo Christmas cards. Take the kids to mall and gather them in front of the blinking lights with a few camera clicks and you'll have the perfect shot.

Challenge 2: Your young ones won't sit still long enough to take the photo.

Solution: Take out the props with you. Get the oversized teddy bear or other toys that mesmerizes them. Pose them with a dog or cat. Make them do something simple, like ringing a Christmas bell or kissing their sister's cheek. Use trial and error until you figure out the item or activity that interests them long enough for you to take a few shots.

Challenge 3: Your teenage kids don't want to pose for a family photo.

Solution: Get some candid shots. Make action the focal point of your photo Christmas cards, focusing on things that your teenagers like to do. Take pictures of them showing off their talents or skills. Whether they are in the swimming pool, a canoe, playing basketball, horseback riding, baking cookies, playing with the cat, or enjoying any activity, your holiday cards will provide a quick look into your family's interests and personality.

Challenge 4: You'd like to send photo Christmas cards that are humorous and entertaining, just like your family.

Solution: Fashion your very own holiday story picture, by setting up a view. Here are some ideas. The kids discovered Mommy kissing Santa Claus (Daddy in disguise). Put the young kids in a bubble bath with Santa hats on them or bubble beards. Take a snapshot of each family member grabbing a slice of pizza with the message "pizza on earth". Picture an empty plate of cookies and empty glasses of milk in front of guilty-looking children with the caption "sorry Santa!"

Those after-the-Halloween-costume-sales can come in handy when trying to set up a fanciful photo. How about posing your little dolls with angel wings you picked up at a discount? Other options could be your kids dressed as cats (caption: Meowy Christmas), super heroes (caption: have a super Christmas), a baby in a pea-pod costume (caption: "peas on earth").

Challenge 5: You'd like a beautiful photo Christmas card that doesn't look like the usual, exhausted, group family photo you send out every year.

Solution: Change the scene of your photo shoot. If you're within driving distance, go to a beach, there are a lot of exceptional photo opportunities. For instance, pose the kids on a sleigh on a sand dune. Engrave Merry Christmas on the sand, and have everyone sit behind the inscription.

Autumn makes a lot of great possibilities for photo Christmas cards. Try taking shots of the kids playing in a pile of leaves, or in a pumpkin patch. Make a lovely panorama of your backdrop and it can create an impression that takes your photo Christmas card to a new higher level.

Challenge 6: Whenever you thrash about to take a family group photo, somebody always blinks their eyes, turns their head away or doesn't smile. It seems just about impossible to get one great shot where everyone looks good.

Solution: Pick a card company that offers photo Christmas card designs that has multiple photos of your family. The latest fashion in holiday photo cards is to include a number of your photos on one card in an exclusive, holiday layout. This has become famous because it is much easier to take perfect, individual photos of your family members than one suitable group picture.

Whatever particular test you face when making your photo Christmas cards, there is always an easy solution. Try these innovative approaches and soon you'll be hearing from your friends, relatives, coworkers and neighbors how much they liked this year's family holiday photo card.

Your friends, relatives and neighbors are eagerly looking forward to your annual Christmas photo cards.  But how do you make this year's holiday card really fresh and original? Here are seven ideas to help you make your new photo Christmas cards stand out.

1. Go black and white photo for a dramatic look.  Many digital cameras have a setting that will enable you to take your photo in black and white. Or you can change a color snapshot to grayscale in your photo editing software. If you don't know how to do it yourself, most photo card companies can do it for you at no extra charge.

2. The more, the merrier.  This year, include more than just the kids in your photo Christmas cards.  Get in the picture with them!  One year my uncle remarked that while he enjoyed receiving a photo of the kids every year, he would like to see a picture of us, too. So, gather the entire family, even the pets.  And if you have an opportunity during the year to attend a large family get together with grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins, you might consider using a large group family photo.

3. Pack the Santa hat on vacation. Whether you're going to the beach, sightseeing in the city or pumpkin picking in the fall, bring along a holiday prop or two, such as a Christmas stocking or ornament.  When you're taking photos of your family excursion, include a few with everyone holding or wearing the Christmas props for refreshingly different holiday photo.

4. Think personality.  While you might enjoy a posed photo of your children all cleaned up, in nice clothes, with not even a hair out of place, it doesn't show off their real personalities.  For more interesting photo Christmas cards, try taking some candid photos of your kids doing things they enjoy.  Or pose them with props that reflect their interests or accomplishments.

5. Scrapbook a page.  If you're creative, you can put together several cropped photos and your greeting on holiday background paper, then photograph or scan it to be used as your photo Christmas card.  Since most photo card companies use 4 x 6 inch photos to produce your cards, trim a standard 12 x 12 inch scrapbooking page to 12 inches wide by 8 inches high as your background for your layout.

6. Embellish it.  Even if you have already ordered standard photo Christmas cards, you might still be able to jazz them up a bit.  Check out the scrapbooking aisles in your local craft store for tiny embellishments, such as bows, ribbons, and other holiday dimensional items.  These are practically flat, since they are meant for a scrapbook page, so they will still fit into your envelope after you glue them on your cards.

7. Shop around.  There are so many photo Christmas card companies on the internet that are offering unique, original, personalized designs.  Some designs can even contain multiple photos, so you don't have to worry about getting that one perfect snapshot.  Or they will put your photo into the shape of an ornament, tree, or other holiday symbol.  Many companies will let you write your own message, so you have more choices and options.  They come in all price ranges, so it pays to do some browsing.

So, don't be afraid to try something a little different with your photo Christmas cards this year.  With a little imagination, your holiday photo cards will be truly special.

With Christmas that is approaching you will have to think about the cards that you will send to your family and friends. You may have even already sent them some form of a photo card in the past. This article will cover 7 different ideas for a photo Christmas card this year.

If you want to go for a dramatic difference, you can choose to use black and white photo. Your digital camera has probably a black and white function; otherwise, you may choose to use a photo editing software as most of them come with this function. If you do not know how to use such features, the store where your cards are made will certainly provide this service at no extra cost.

People generally tend to just put their children in these photos. Why not make it a whole family thing and put everyone in there! When you are out and about doing your holiday family tradition things, make sure to pack along some accessories such as a Santa hat, this way whether you are are looking at the Christmas lights, picking pinecones or on a hay ride, you can get a snapshot of the family to use.

If you do not want to make a basic posed picture, make use of the natural environment of your children such a nice picture while they are playing in the snow, decorating the Christmas tree or the Nativity scene, or have them bring an item they particularly like such as their Teddy Bear.

You may even want to go with the scrapbooking idea... It is really easy to do: you just have to choose some of your photos and combine them on a sheet of holiday scrapbook paper and have that made as your greeting card. Card making stores can help you to make this as they provide many holiday themes available.

A great idea to decorate a standard greeting card is by going the hobby store and pick up small scrapbooking Christmas decorations, you will only have to put them on the card. You can even personalize the design of the card by adding details such as items that your friend likes or collects: cows, bears, etc. Simply buy a package of these things and put one of them on each corner of the photo.

Several Web based companies provide Christmas cards for an affordable price; however they get more expensive when you improve the design of the card. Many of these companies let you design the card that match exactly your expectations. These companies also have their own photo editing software that can help you to touch up your photos.

These ideas can help you to make your Christmas card sending more particular.

Christmas is the time to be happy and merry and to enjoy the company of family and friends. Traditionally Christmas day is when family from near and far congregate at a central point, exchange gifts and greeting cards and enjoy each other’s company and partake in the spirit of the occasion.

The children of the family have an opportunity to get to play with cousins who they may only see once or twice during the year and Christmas time is the perfect opportunity for long term friendships to be formed between the younger members of the family.

However, as is the case with many extended families, commitments and obligations as well as the vast distances involved often mean that important members of the family may miss out on attending the gathering. This is where personalized photo Christmas cards play an important role of bringing those family members who unable to attend the Christmas gathering just a little closer.

A lovely way to involve family and friends who are unable to partake in the festivities of the day is to send them a personalized photo Christmas card. Each year leading up to the festive season many families gather their entire immediate family together for the express purpose of taking a seasonal family snapshot. They them create beautiful cards, which can be sent to family and friends around the country and to those who live abroad.

It is typical that the holiday family photos are of everyone gathered around the Christmas tree further extending the blessings of the season to those who will not have the opportunity to visit over the festive season. Other families, however, choose to send candid personalized photo Christmas cards that show members of the family in compromising or humorous poses or situations. These funny cards are often the topic of many conversations well after the holidays have passed and can be recalled and laughed about for many years to come.

By taking a little time to get your family together for a photo you achieve two things. Firstly you have an original card which has a personal and creative feel to it to send to the people you care about. Secondly, the people who receive the cards are then able to update their family photo albums.

In creating personalized photo Christmas cards many families take group photos of their immediate family each and every year. Often the next year sees an increase in the number of people included in the photo as people wed and babies are born.

For many families these photos become a pictorial type of family tree, which plots the genealogical aspect of the family’s growth and development through the years. As our relatives become older they are often are less likely to travel long distances and these cards are often the only way that they ever see these members of their family.

So if you have members of your family living in another state or abroad why not start your family trend of producing personalized photo Christmas cards and send them this year and every year after. Who know you could start a family tradition that will last for generations.

Religious Christmas Cards

7 Creative Ways to Share Your Christian Faith This Holiday Season

Let's face it. For those of us who want to send Christian Christmas cards , there seems to be less choice than ever before. The card stores at the mall offer holiday greetings covered with glittering ornaments, Santa and lots of holly. Yet it's getting harder to find a good selection of religious Christmas cards in local shops. What can you do if you want a unique card to express your belief in the true meaning of Christmas? Here are seven creative ideas to help your share your Christian faith this Christmas season.

religious cards1. Shop online. Don't limit yourself to brick and mortar stores that stock only the most popular holiday designs and themes in order to boost profits. Search the internet and you'll find it is filled with many niche' markets that offer specialized items. There are online stores that sell exclusively Christian products, including Christmas cards, as well as traditional holiday card websites that offer a wide selection of religious Christmas cards.

2. Enclose a bookmark. You can still choose a standard Christmas card with a beautiful green wreath on the cover, but slip a bookmark inside with a Christian message. You can find these in Christian book stores and online. There are even websites that will create inexpensive custom bookmarks for you. These can be personalized with your favorite Bible verse or even a family photo.

3. Mail a magnet. There are many companies that make personalized thin, flat, easy to mail magnets of all sizes. They will add your message, Bible verse and sometimes even a photo. You can send these to everyone on your Christmas card list and it will still be on their refrigerator long after the holiday is gone.

christmas

4. Send photo Christmas cards. There are photo card companies on the internet that feature religious photo Christmas cards. They incorporate a Christian message and design with your photo and personalization. If you don't find a business that specifically makes Christian photo Christmas cards, then locate one that will let you include a slightly longer personalization. This way you can add your favorite Bible verse and Christian message. Let everyone on your holiday list see the joy of the Lord in your family's faces. People tend to hold on to photo Christmas cards long after they've discarded the traditional paper greetings. So, your message will remain.

religious cards5. Make it yourself. If you haven't found just the right Christmas card for your family, it's easy to make your own card. First pick a large colorful background using scrapbook paper, wrapping paper or even construction paper. Cut out photos of your family, your children's drawings or pictures from magazines or other sources. On a paper that compliments your background color, write or use your printer to print your message. Arrange all of your elements on the background and when you're happy with their placement, use a glue stick to keep them there. Then to mass-produce them, you have two choices. You can scan the finished product and then print it on your home printer. Or you can use your digital camera and take a photo of it and upload it to a website that will print it for you. This can be a fun holiday project for the whole family.

christmas cards6. Include your testimony. Whether you send traditional holiday cards or religious Christmas cards, you can include a printed account of how God has touched your life. It doesn't have to be your whole life story to have impact. In fact, you can simply share an example of how God answered a prayer for you this past year. Many people send Christmas newsletters heralding their family's annual accomplishments. Instead, consider letting others know what the Lord has accomplished. You never know whose life it might touch.

7. Pray for each person, as you seal their envelope. Instead of dreaming of wintery weather with each Christmas card you write, lift up that person to the care of the Lord and ask His blessing in their life. The person who receives your Christmas card may have no idea you prayed for them as you were writing it, but it is a meaningful way to put your beliefs into action.

So, don't limit your choice to the handful of religious Christmas cards that you find in your local store, when there are many creative ways to express your faith during the holidays. This year, make your Christian Christmas card a unique, personal message from your heart that proclaims the true reason for the season.
