I found this one just today. I think they are great.
I always insist on Charity cards for the festive time, I think they are what Christmas is all about, giving!.
To me, Christmas cards are a good way of keeping in contact with people who touch your life in some way. I'll be sure to send you one "D".

Yeah, I usually do too. We do Samaritans Purse which is a charity for Christmas present in less fortunate countries.

Actually, I give one of these every year. I can afford it. If you can’t, you can buy a "share" of a flock of chickens (are they called a flock in English? I don’t know for sure) or part of a water buffalo or something.

Every year my Kindred gets together and buys one of these

There’s over 100 of us in the Kindred, so it’s not too much for us to give per person.
We think it’s an awesome group as you are giving a living creature that can be bred and supplies milk or eggs or labor or ??? for a long time. The offspring are passed on to other people in the community. It’s part of the deal. Of course that appeals to us greatly, Self Sufficiency being one of the Nine Noble Virtues and all.
As far as cards, I either make my own Heathen Jul cards or buy them from a Heathen group/person. Depends on how many people are not going to be around during the holiday. If you’re around – no card. You get gifted some food to take home with you instead. :-Þ

Yes, I always do, last year it was my local hospice, St Giles which looked after my grandfather in his last days dieing from cancer. I couldn’t believe how much money they need each day through just donations to keep operating.

All the cards I buy have a donation attached to a charity. It’s one of the things I insist on, after all that is what Christmas is about.

Hi Dear D…..Charity is in you not with you, so just do what you need to do and there is no too much for it.
As for me, I did charity work for the community of S’pore for the pass 30 years from 1979 and served in many committees like Residents’ Committee, Charity Group work in coaching & training and Alumni Voluntary Services. Donated my monthly allowance of S$200 to charity group for 6 yrs as a town councillor. We do what we can do and never too much for charity.
